Job Title: National Sales Trainer
Reports to: Director of Training and Development
PURPOSE & SCOPE OF POSITION
To prepare new and current sales representatives and sales managers for territorial/district responsibilities including selling our product line, territory/district management skills, managed care, trade relations, retail pharmacy selling, and overall product knowledge.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Train all new representatives in a timely manner to prepare them for duties in the field.
• Working with the Training Team, train new district managers to prepare them for managerial responsibilities.
• Assist in the development of workshops
• Work with Field Trainers to facilitate training workshops at POA/National Sales Meetings to help current representatives apply current/new/revised marketing messages.
• Coordinate with product managers to translate product messages into application workshops.
• Other training functions as needed.
MIN. JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Proven success in pharmaceutical sales with a minimum of 2 years sales experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Solid interpersonal and public speaking skills
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to articulate clearly and conduct verbal presentations with large and small audiences.
• Ability to travel via automobile and/or airplane.
• Ability to view video display terminal images < 18” away from face for extended period of time – up to four (4) hours at a time.
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard and telephone.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time – up to four (4) hours at a time.
• Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifteen (15) pounds.
