Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Lead the development, management, and implementation of US health outcomes strategies and tactics across ACORDA’s product portfolio to support the US commercial objectives of ACORDA's products during development, launch, and life cycle management.
• Work in partnership with Medical Affairs and Product Development to ensure provision of health outcomes information to support internal decision making during product development, commercialization and life cycle management of products.
• Provide -specific health outcomes and reimbursement strategic leadership and direction for Senior Management and R&D.
• Ensure Health Economics/Outcomes strategies are in place, continually aligned, and implemented effectively.
• Participate with U.S. and appropriate global alliance management teams to ensure that relevant US reimbursement and market access needs, planning factors and impacts are assessed in development, pre-launch, launch and life cycle management strategies.
• Proactively identify innovative, creative avenues to develop, package, leverage, and communicate HO value messages for ACORDA products.
• Support key US market reimbursement submissions and interactions with major formulary decision-making bodies;
• Design, plan, track and adjust US regional HO projects across team and with external contractors and suppliers to ensure delivery on time, to budget and in accordance with user specifications;
• Assure quality of deliverables, including participation on quality review panels, review and sign off of project specifications, protocols, data analysis plans, final study reports, abstracts, posters and manuscripts.
• Develop and maintain intimate understanding of internal and external US customers' needs for health outcomes deliverables to support market development, pricing, reimbursement, formulary listing and promotion of ACORDA products.
• Influence internal and external government and policy groups on related health outcomes, reimbursement, health policy issues.
• Contribute to broader organizational change within ACORDA through participation in specific projects and work at a departmental level and beyond;
• support Brand Marketing, Managed Markets, Sales, and Medical Affairs strategies with expertise in the design and application of economic/outcomes value research during all phases of product life cycles.
• assist in building comprehensive value arguments to improve market access and utilization, thereby increasing product performance and achieving business goals and improving patient outcomes.

Education and/or Experience

PharmD, PhD, MD, MPH, or equivalent education required with a minimum of 5-7 years pharmaceutical industry experience in health economics or related discipline with home office based assignments and a minimum of 3-4 years Managed Markets experience. US healthcare market, policy and decision-maker understanding a must along with financial management experience. Tactical application of HO research and information at the therapy or product level required
